Accounting Clerk
Job Summary:
The Accounting Clerk performs routine accounting and financial support functions to ensure accurate recordkeeping and compliance with company, state, federal, and gaming regulations. This role is responsible for data entry, reconciliation, report preparation, and document review, and supports payroll, accounts payable, and general ledger activities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Minimum of six (6) months of accounting, audit, or related financial experience required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
- Ability to operate a computer, keyboard, and 10-key.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Essential Job Functions
- Enter, calculate, summarize, and maintain financial and statistical data within accounting systems.
- Generate and distribute routine accounting and financial reports.
- Review, reconcile, and verify documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Process payroll, accounts payable, and related transactions as assigned.
- Prepare, input, balance, and reconcile W-2G documentation.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
- Maintain accurate filing and documentation in accordance with retention requirements.
- Assist and support with month-end close.
- Participate in required meetings and pre-shift BUZZ sessions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical, Mental & Environmental Demands
- Must be able to continuously maneuver around office, and effectively work at a desk.
- Must have the manual dexterity to operate the computer and other necessary office equipment.
- Must be able to respond calmly to demands of internal customers while working in a fast paced environment.
- Must be self-motivated and able to handle more than one function at a time by being well organized.
- Must be able to work in areas containing secondhand smoke, dust, loud noises and bright lights.
