Slot Performance Supervisor

Job Summary:

Assist in the management of the overall operations, supervision and administration of all Slot Performance operations.

Qualifications

  • Required high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of actual technical experience. 
  • Minimum of three (3) years direct supervision with progressively increasing levels of responsibility authority in the slot repair department. 
  • Must have a working knowledge of all the various types of slot machines, change machines, coin wrappers, and any other equipment associated with slot repair. 
  • Must possess good communication and customer service skills.
  • Must be willing to work any day of the week and any shift. 
  • Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team. 
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.
  • Must possess aptitude to upkeep and maintain slot files.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Supervises and directs the daily operations of the department in accordance with established policies and procedures. 
  • Administers approved changes within the department relating to personnel, hiring, promotions, demotions, and discharges policies and procedures, subject to the Slot Performance Manager and Slot Director’s approval.
  • Assists Slot Performance Manager in maintaining and updating SDS slot files per Corporate and regulatory standards.
  • Establishes required training programs for all slot technicians. 
  • Maintains open lines of communications as well as counsel. 
  • Guides and instructs slot technicians to obtain maximum efficiency. 
  • Maintains a close liaison with vendors regarding problem areas with machines and conversions when required. 
  • Monitors all slot overhaul maintenance programs and assure all personnel use proper procedures. 
  • Monitors slot repair parts inventory and expenditures. 
  • Performs all other duties as requested by the Slot Performance Manager and Slot Director. 
  • Conducts self always in a manner that reflects positively on Harrah’s and encourages others to do the same.
  • Conducts Performance Reviews
  • Makes or recommends wage increases
  • Makes or recommends promotions
  • Handles employees' complaints or grievances
  • Recommends disciplinary action or disciplines employees
  • Plans work and projects
  • Supervises and monitors work
  • Monitors legal compliance with federal, state, and gaming laws
  • Monitors and maintains legal compliance with federal, state, and gaming laws.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned traditionally performed by a Slot Performance Supervisor.

Physical, Mental & Environmental Demands:          

  • Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino. 
  • Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, as well as, lie on back to work inside the confines of a slot machine cabinet for long periods of time. 
  • Must be able to push and lift weight up to 100 pounds using the ”Buddy System”. 
  • Must be able to see small objects in poorly lighted areas. 
  • Must possess coordination and manual dexterity to work with power tools, etc. 
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace in mentally and physically stressful situations.
  • Must be able to respond calmly and handle many guest demands in a fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to work in areas containing secondhand smoke, dust, loud noises and bright lights.
