Job Summary:

The Table Games Dealer Trainee participates in a structured training program designed to develop the skills necessary to become a professional Table Games Dealer. This role supports Harrah’s commitment to delivering exceptional guest service by learning proper game procedures, regulatory requirements, and service standards that create an engaging and entertaining gaming environment.

Training Program Details:

  • Training Rate: $16.50 per hour
  • Must pass the assessment prior to enrollment
  • Class Days: Tuesday through Saturday
  • Class Times: (9:00 AM – 1:00 PM) or (1:00 PM – 5:00 PM)
  • Program Start Date: March 10, 2026
  • Program Duration: 5‑week course

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must pass a math assessment with a score of 70% or higher.
  • Must be able to learn and retain casino rules, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong money‑handling accuracy required.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must maintain a well‑groomed, professional appearance.
  • Must be able to work cooperatively with others and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Creates a fun, engaging, and entertainment‑focused experience for all guests.
  • Learns and demonstrates proficiency in assigned table games according to training standards.
  • Accurately handles chips, payouts, buy‑ins, and game procedures.
  • Shows consistent, measurable improvement throughout the 5‑week training program.
  • Anticipates guest needs and provides proactive, friendly service.
  • Adheres to all company, departmental, and regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Identifies and reports irregularities or suspicious behavior to Table Games leadership.
  • Participates in all mandatory meetings, training sessions, and pre‑shift BUZZ huddles.
  • Works effectively as part of a team and maintains professionalism in all interactions.
  • Meets scheduling requirements, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime when necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical, Mental & Environmental Demands:

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and continuously move throughout the table games pit.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
  • Must be able to bend, crouch, kneel, and twist as needed.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Must have sufficient manual dexterity to handle cards, chips, paperwork, and gaming equipment.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must tolerate exposure to secondhand smoke, loud noise, bright lights, and dust.
  • Must remain calm and focused in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
