Beverage Server Lead
Job Summary:
Lead Beverage Server is responsible for overseeing the beverage service operation within the establishment, ensuring that guests receive exceptional service and quality beverages throughout their experience. This role involves leading a team of beverage servers, managing inventory, and maintaining a pristine and welcoming atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- Required high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have basic math skills in order to count money and present change correctly.
- Must have knowledge of guest charge procedures.
- Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Knowledgeable of or able to learn tray service and cocktail ingredients.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Preferred 1-year previous food service experience.
- Preferred minimum 6-months experience in money-handling and cash register operations.
Essential Job Functions:
- Lead and train beverage service staff, providing guidance and support to ensure all team members deliver exceptional guest service.
- Leads daily beverage server operations when supervisor and/or manager is not present.
- Works with department supervisors and/or managers on the organization of daily schedule and zone assignments.
- Delivers exceptional customer service by engaging with new guests daily, ensuring high-quality beverage service, and building strong player relationships to consistently exceed expectations. .
- Ensures opening, closing, and on-going side work is completed for each shift in a proper fashion based on completed check-lists.
- Maintains cleanliness of the casino floor and work areas as needed, and coordinates daily deep-cleaning tasks among team members. Ensures compliance with all sanitation and health code standards.”
- Provides warm, attentive beverage service with a focus on creating a welcoming and memorable guest experience, demonstrating professionalism and friendliness at all times.
- Works with department managers and/or supervisors to conduct daily buzzes and ensures that the staff is knowledgeable on current promotions and events in the casino.
- Acts as a resource for team members by observing service quality and offering guidance, recommendations, and best practices to help maintain high service standards.
- Ensure beverage stations are well-organized and stocked, allowing for efficient service during peak hours.
- Learns operating procedures of computer systems such as POS/Boss and oversees cash transactions.
- Notifies supervisor and/or manager of employees not following policies and procedures to maintain high standards of service.
- Maintain an understanding of current cocktail trends and menu innovations to provide guests with the latest offerings.
- Responsible for addressing guest questions or concerns, providing solutions to rectify concerns, and/or notifying supervisors and/or managers to assist in a resolution.
- Oversee daily inventory by usage, conducting regular stock counts, and placing orders to maintain adequate supplies.
- All team members will follow the Everyone Greets Everyone (EGE) policy. - Must be able to work a varied schedule including holidays, nights and weekends as needed.
- Must be able to work a reasonable amount of overtime when required.

- Stays up to date on all promotions/special events.
- Recognizes employees when appropriate.
Physical, Mental & Environmental Demands:
- Must be able to work and maneuver in a close or small working environment during entire shift.
- Must be able to work at a fast pace in mentally and physically stressful situations.
- Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, and kneel.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds while gripping necessary items (glasses, pens, pads, garnishments, money, etc).
- Must be able to stand and walk for periods up to 8-hour shifts and walk at least 5 miles during shift.
- Must be able to use proper lifting and carrying techniques.
- Must possess the manual dexterity to complete required work.
- Must be able to work in areas containing secondhand smoke, dust, loud noises and bright lights.
